The procedure for official inspections of companies is set out in detail in document LASI LV 54.
The official system inspection is the instrument with which the competent occupational health and safety authority checks the existence and functioning of a systematic occupational health and safety organization with regard to its suitability within the meaning of Section 3 ArbSchG. If deficits are identified, the competent occupational health and safety authority works towards a suitable company organization.
A suitable organization must ensure that:
- occupational health and safety regulations are complied with,
deficiencies in occupational health and safety are identified and rectified, - Weaknesses in the occupational health and safety organization, including the organizational causes of specific occupational health and safety deficits, are analyzed and corrective and improvement measures are implemented,
- internal communication and cooperation as well as the internal exchange of experience in occupational health and safety takes place with the involvement of all hierarchical levels,
- the working conditions of employees are sustainably improved,
- safety and health-conscious behavior is permanently enabled and promoted.
